The Sugar Factory

A chapter from Rachel’s novel in progress. In late August 2006, Lila Fairfax moves to a Brooklyn walk-up to intern at the New York Mirror and is sent to cover the fight over the Domino Sugar Refinery, where she falls for Luke, the artist squatting inside the factory and filming every hour of his life.
